2011 Hall of Fame Special Event Weekends

May 7-8            Salute to the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants
Programs and special events related to the Giants' first World Series title since 1954.

May 27-28       "One for the Books" Exhibit Opening
A celebration of baseball records and the stories behind them, with a formal exhibit opening and special guest appearances to be announced.

June 1-3          23rd Annual Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture
Academics present research on the relationship between the National Pastime and the spirit of the American society, in themed discussions and seminars.

June 3-5         Cricket Weekend
Interactive weekend celebrating the newest Museum exhibit on the relationship between cricket and baseball, Swinging Away, direct from the Marylebone Cricket Club in London. The exhibit will be on display from April through December.

June 18-20    Hall of Fame Classic Weekend
Seven Hall of Famers and 20 other former major league players take to Doubleday Field for a game of legendary stars. The Weekend will feature family friendly events and a golf fundraiser for the Museum.

July 22-25    Hall of Fame Weekend
Baseball's Best Weekend is celebrated with the return of 50+ Hall of Fame members, to honor the 2011 class of inductees. Featuring the Parade of Legends and events from Friday through Monday for fans of all ages.

October 1-2  Baseball Film Festival
For the sixth straight year, the Museum pays tribute to the relationship between baseball and Hollywood, with screening of original films and special programs related to film history involving baseball.

October 7-9   Character and Courage Weekend
Held over beautiful Columbus Day Weekend, this thematic celebration of two traits found in the Hall of Fame spirit provides programs that document sportsmanship, character and integrity.
