Exclusive Events Take Fans Inside Baseball History in Cooperstown
(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – The legends and heroes of the National Pastime call Cooperstown home. But for a few days this fall and next spring, fans can experience the Hall of Fame through an exclusive in-depth exploration.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s VIP Experience will resume with several dates through the fall and winter and into the spring as the Museum prepares for its 75th anniversary in 2014. Through the VIP Experience, fans can delve into the Museum’s collections, archives and exhibits through a two-day program designed to thrill first-time visitors as well as long-time Museum supporters.
Beginning in October and running through May, visitors can plan a unique trip to Cooperstown with nine opportunities to take an up-close and in-depth look at baseball’s most honored cathedral. Each VIP Experience event provides a behind-the-curtain and personal look at the Hall of Fame and its collections, through a package available only through participating Cooperstown accommodations.

The two-day event includes a Hall of Fame Sustaining Membership ($100 value), exclusive after-hours access to the Museum, a library archive tour, a Museum collections artifact presentation and a private reception.

Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the annual Hall of Fame Yearbook and a 10% discount and free shipping on retail purchases. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Museum observes regular hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend. From Memorial Day Weekend through the day before Labor Day, the Museum observes summer hours of 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Ticket prices are $19.50 for adults (13 and over), $12 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $7 for juniors (ages 7-12).
