Exclusive Events Put Fans Up Close with History in Cooperstown
COOPERSTOWN, NY – A visit to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum provides an inside look at baseball history unlike any other.
Coming in the spring of 2012, fans can even delve deeper into the Museum’s collections and archives through an exclusive program known as the “VIP Experience.”
Beginning in late February, Cooperstown visitors will have six opportunities to take a behind-the-scenes look at baseball’s most honored cathedral. Each VIP Experience provides a unique, personal look at the Hall of Fame and its collections, through a package available only through participating Cooperstown accommodations.
Dates for 2012 VIP Experiences include:

- March 22-23
- March 29-30
- April 12-13
- May 10-11
- May 17-18
Two VIP Experience programs have special themes, with the Feb. 23-24 event going inside the Museum’s education program offerings, while the March 22-23 Experience will feature a spotlight on Baseball in New York.
A perfect holiday gift, the two-day event includes a Hall of Fame Sustaining Membership ($100 value), exclusive after-hours access to the Museum, a library archive tour, a Museum collections artifact presentation and a private reception.

Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the annual Hall of Fame yearbook and a 10% discount and free shipping on retail purchases. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Museum observes regular hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend. From Memorial Day Weekend through the day before Labor Day, the Museum observes summer hours of 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Ticket prices are $19.50 for adults (13 and over), $12 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $7 for juniors (ages 7-12). Members are always admitted free of charge and there is no charge for children 6 years of age or younger.
