(COOPERSTOWN, NY)Virtually every Hall of Fame career begins with work in the minor leagues.

In 2014, baseball fans can make the trip from the minors to Cooperstown themselves thanks to a partnership between the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and Minor League Baseball.

The Museum will host Minor League Days each Friday throughout the 2014 season, with educational programs spotlighting baseball’s vast player development system and the longstanding love between the fans and the minors.

In order to gain free admission on Minor League Days, visitors must surrender a ticket stub from a Minor League Baseball game from the 2014 season, on Fridays from April 4 through Sept. 5, 2014. The offer is good for one admission per ticket stub redeemed.

Each member of the historic Hall of Fame Class of 2014 played Minor League Baseball, and skippers Bobby Cox and Tony La Russa also managed extensively in the minors. The Class of 2014Bobby Cox, Tom Glavine, Tony La Russa, Greg Maddux, Frank Thomas and Joe Torre – will be inducted on July 27 in Cooperstown.
