Jeff Jones Joins National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Jeffrey J. Jones has joined the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, effective January 15, 2014. 

Jones, who has worked with regional not-for-profit organizations for nearly three decades, replaces Bill Haase, who retired in December following 13 years with the Museum. 

Jones comes to the Museum directly from The University at Albany Foundation, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Associate Executive Director. Previously, Jones – who holds a degree in accounting from The State University of New York College at Oswego – was the CFO for Bellevue Women's Hospital and Amsterdam Memorial Hospital. He began his career in 1986 working for Coopers & Lybrand in the Albany, N.Y. office. 

Jones’ duties at the Museum will include responsibility for all financial and administrative duties for the organization, including building operations, human resources, accounting and finance. 

“Jeff brings a wide array of talents to Cooperstown: he has a strong background in accounting and finance, has managed large staffs, and is well-versed in the not-for-profit world,” said Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson. “He also has a profound respect for baseball as a fan, historian and many years of youth leagues coaching. He is a solid addition to the Hall of Fame staff and we are excited that he has joined us in Cooperstown.”
