(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – As America’s heroes are honored in Cooperstown on Memorial Day Weekend, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is providing a special opportunity for those affiliated with military organizations to be a part of the day-long salute at the home of baseball.
The fifth annual Hall of Fame Classic, presented by Ford Motor Company, will feature Hall of Famers Rollie Fingers, Goose Gossage, Rickey Henderson and Phil Niekro along with more than 20 other retired major league players. Those who are affiliated with military organizations – including the five branches of the United States Armed Services, American Legion, DAV, AMVets, the National Guard and the USO – can receive free admission to the Museum on May 25, with the advance purchase of a ticket to the Hall of Fame Classic, which begins at 1 p.m. with a pre-game hitting contest and a 2 p.m. first pitch at historic Doubleday Field. Classic Tickets are $12.50 each.
Following the Classic, the Hall of Fame will host a special “Night at the Museum” experience, as former players and Hall of Famers bring the Museum alive from 7-9 p.m. at the Cooperstown shrine.
