Roberto Clemente Day

As part of our celebration of Roberto Clemente Day at the Hall of Fame, we will present special programs throughout the day. Programming is free with museum admission.

10:00 AM: Plaques of the Gallery Tour

This 20-minute guided tour educates visitors about the history and tradition of the Hall of Fame Gallery. Guests will learn the ins and outs of the Hall of Fame induction process, the methods by which each plaque is made and installed, and the stories behind them.

11:00 am: Curator Spotlight: ¡Viva Baseball! Exhibit

Visitors will have the opportunity to go on a special guided tour of the ¡Viva Baseball! exhibit, led by a Hall of Fame Curator. This experience gives visitors the unique opportunity to learn about the creation process behind our ¡Viva Baseball! exhibit on the 2nd floor.

12:00 PM: Hands on History

Join us for a brief history of baseball equipment. This interactive display contains equipment that showcases the evolution of baseballs, bats, and gloves over the course of baseball history.

2:00 pm: Roberto Clemente: The Great One

He was the first Latino to earn enshrinement in Cooperstown. Learn about the career and life of Roberto Clemente, a native of Puerto Rico who became a hero to all Americans. Swing by the Bullpen Theater to learn more about Clemente and other heroes of baseball.
