Parking & Trolleys
Parking is extremely scarce on Main Street and surrounding streets. In addition, parking is limited to two hours on Main Street and most other streets in the Village of Cooperstown and is STRICTLY ENFORCED.
During summer months, a limited amount of all-day and hourly parking is available for a fee in Doubleday Field Parking Lot. This centrally-located parking lot is accessible from Chestnut Street (south of the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce) or from Main Street (next to the Key Bank Building).
For an enjoyable and hassle-free visit to Cooperstown we recommend you take advantage of the free parking areas and ride the Trolley. The Trolleys will bring you to the Museums, Main Street shopping, and other points of interest. It also stops near the Chamber office and Main Street Information Center. The operating schedule is shown below.
Please plan on using the perimeter parking lots and the Trolley system - you'll be glad you did. Parking is FREE and the Trolley fare is $2.00 with children 5 and under free, for an unlimited daily pass. It's a great way to see our beautiful village!

Look for the blue "Park and Take the Trolley" signs as you approach Cooperstown. Click here for a Trolley Lot Map (pdf)

This Day in Baseball History
On May 23, 1989, Bo Jackson of the Kansas City Royals hits a monstrous 461-foot home run against Nolan Ryan of the Texas Rangers. Jackson had struggled in his previous matchups against the future Hall of Famer, striking out the last six times in succession.
