For only $5 a year, have your name displayed on a page within our online collection. Let baseball fans everywhere know that you are helping share and preserve the game you love.

You can even add a message with your name – a note about the item on the page you are sponsoring, a favorite baseball memory or a tribute to a family member or friend.

The Hall of Fame has taken a leadership role among cultural institutions by creating a single database for our Museum collection and Library archive, dramatically increasing the efficiency of finding all of the items in our collections related to a topic or player. Our database, built on an open source platform, will allow other museums and libraries to benefit from this project.

Since launching in 2016, the ever-growing digital collection now features: 25,000 books and publications, 20,250 photographs, 10,500 Library documents, 4,500 three-dimensional artifacts and 225 oral histories.

Once an item in the Museum Collection or Library Archive has been digitally preserved and uploaded to the online database, the costs to store and make these images available continues in perpetuity.

Ongoing costs include data storage, internet service, servers plus ongoing development and maintenance of the digital asset management software.

By sponsoring an item, you are helping cover these costs incurred by the Museum.

How much is it to sponsor the display of an item in the digital collection? The sponsorship fee is $5 annually per item.

Is my gift tax deductible? The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is a 501C(3) nonprofit so your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

What is the digital collection? The digital collection is the Museum’s online collections database and includes items like photographs, video, audio, artifacts and more.

What kind of message can I include on the page I sponsor? Your message could be something as simple as “GO BREWERS!” or “In honor of my Dad”; all messages will be reviewed prior to going live on the site. Please use common sense as messages containing vulgar language, insults or negative comments will be rejected.

What happens if my message is rejected? You will be contacted by Museum staff to edit you message to meet our standards. If we cannot come to agreement on an appropriate message within seven days you will be refunded the cost of sponsoring the page.

How do I renew my sponsorship of a page? Prior to the expiration of your one-year sponsorship you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to renew your sponsorship.

What if I decide not to renew? If you decide not to renew your sponsorship, no action is required. When your sponsorship expires the page will become available for other fans to sponsor.

What if I decide I no longer want my message displayed? You can email our development team at [email protected] and they will take it down for you.

Can I sponsor more than one page? You may sponsor as many pages as you like. Thanks in advance for your generous support!

What does my sponsorship support? Ongoing costs to maintain the free online database, including data storage, internet service, servers and ongoing development and maintenance of the digital asset management software.
