Collection Care and Conservation Workshop

Preserve and Care for Your Personal Collection

Almost all fans of the game collect something to preserve our baseball memories and share them with friends and family. You may collect baseball cards, autographed baseballs, jerseys, photographs or programs.

Now you can learn from the experts at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum how to care for these special items and ensure that they are preserved for future generations of your family.

This workshop will give you the knowledge you need to care for your own collection, using the same techniques developed by the professionals who care for the collection in Cooperstown.

Hall of Fame Librarian Jim Gates gives VIP Experience guests a tour of the Museum’s Giamatti Research Center. The Hall of Fame Library houses more than three million documents. (Milo Stewart, Jr. / National Baseball Hall of Fame)

The National Baseball Hall of Fame’s archives preserve priceless treasures, memories, and artifacts from baseball’s past. This is your chance to be part of baseball’s history – to see, touch and experience the National Pastime in a new and exciting way.

We approach our responsibility to secure and share the history of our National Pastime with great passion and pride. And we know you do too. That’s why we are hopeful that you will join us for this unique experience.

It is through the lens of the collections at the Baseball Hall of Fame that you will learn principles and tips to care for your own collection.
