We will screen the new documentary about Emmett Ashford, the first Black umpire in the history of the established major leagues; his remains are now buried in Cooperstown's Lakewood Cemetery. The film, titled "Called Up: The Emmett Ashford Story," will be shown in the Hall of Fame Library's Bullpen Theater, beginning at 1 pm.

After the screening, we will take interested visitors on a brief tour of another cemetery in Cooperstown, the Christ Church Graveyard, which contains the tombs of Cooperstown's founder William Cooper and famed novelist James Fenimore Cooper.
