As a nonprofit educational institution the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is dedicated to helping every fan learn more about the game, its rich history and its impact on our culture.
Our educational programs include public events that promote discussion and interaction among generations in the Museum; programs that provide K-12 students and teachers interactive and meaningful learning experiences in Cooperstown, online and in their communities; and a robust lineup of virtual programs for diverse audiences.
Through your Museum experience, students will gain skills and knowledge in the six attributes from New York State’s Portrait of a Graduate.
Visit the Museum for a one-of-a-kind learning experience outside of the classroom! Aligned with New York State’s Portrait of a Graduate, students will gain a culturally responsive sustaining educational experience. Using the sport of baseball, Museum teachers facilitate the student-led learning experience. Students are encouraged to be curious, ask questions and share experiences with their peers.
The next best thing to visiting the Museum is participating in a Virtual Field Trip. Our Virtual Field Trips bring the magic of Cooperstown to the classroom.
The Museum, thanks to the generous support of our partners, offers grants to help offset the cost of field trips. These grants are designed to allow schools in our region who are facing budget challenges to visit Cooperstown and particpate in the Museum’s education programs. If your school is interested in applying, please review the guidelines and complete the online application.
The Museum currently offers baseball-themed curriculum components that provide interactive and meaningful learning engagement.
