Virtual Author Series: John Owens and David Fletcher
Join us on October 7 at 2 pm Eastern Time for a Virtual Author Series program with the writers of the entertaining new book, Chili Dog MVP: Dick Allen, The 1972 White Sox and A Transforming Chicago. Co-authors John Owens and David Fletcher will discuss a unique time from the early 1970s when the arrival of the controversial but talented Dick Allen lifted the Chicago White Sox from also-ran status to surprising pennant contenders. Owens and Fletcher will discuss the impact of Allen, his White Sox teammates, and legendary broadcaster Harry Caray on the landscape of Chicago baseball.
As with all of our virtual programs, the Virtual Author Series is free of charge, but registration is required. Participants can submit questions for the authors in the Chat Room.
