The Museum and Library collections document the game's history and bring its most important moments to life. 

PRESERVED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

Each item – the bats, baseballs, gloves, spikes and uniforms – tells an important story about the game’s history. But the collections are also broad and deep, documenting both the game on the field and its impact on American culture. It may be art, books, manuscripts, baseball cards or photographs that bring your memories of the game to life.

MUSEUM COLLECTION

The Museum’s three-dimensional collection contains tens of thousands of artifacts representing all facets of the game, from its inception to the present. This includes bats, baseballs, uniforms, player equipment, ballpark items, awards, artwork, textiles, collectibles and memorabilia relating to all aspects of baseball including, but not limited to, Hall of Famers, Major and Minor League players and teams, the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, the Negro Leagues, stadiums, events, amateur baseball, and international baseball.

The Hall of Fame's Look Magazine photo collection, which contains 4,108 photos, chronicles numerous iconic visuals from throughout baseball history.

The Museum has a vast digital collection that fans and researchers around the globe can explore. Highlights include Oral Histories, Museum Objects, Negro Leagues, Women in Baseball and Hall of Famer collections.

Across our three floors of exhibit space, you will experience baseball history through artifacts on display, which showcase the important individual and team moments on the field as well as the game's monumental impact on our society. 

LIBRARY AND RESEARCH CENTER

The library is the foremost repository of baseball information, in all formats, in the world. Founded in 1939 along with the Hall itself, the library is a specialized research facility whose collections and services are available to all.
