Hall of Fame Birthday Celebration

The Museum will celebrate its 83rd birthday on Sunday, June 12, reflecting on the historic events of that day in 1939 as the Hall of Fame was formally commemorated. Special programs will fill the day on Sunday.

10:30am - Plaques of the Gallery Tour (Buck O'Neil Statue)
Gain insight into the history of the Hall of Fame Gallery and the process by which plaques are made.

11:00am-1:00pm - 83rd Anniversary Card (Learning Center)
Wish a Happy Birthday to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by signing our birthday card, located the Learning Center on the first floor.

2:00pm - Remembering June 12, 1939 -The Birth of the Hall of Fame (Bullpen Theater)
Remembering June 12, 1939—The Birth of the Hall of Fame” will offer insight into that days ribbon-cutting ceremony, the first Hall of Fame Induction, and the historic exhibition game that took place at Doubleday Field. The program is free, and all attendees will receive a free pack of baseball cards.
