On Wednesday, August 24, author Howard Megdal will discuss his new book, The Baseball Talmud, which provides a wonderful historical narration of Jewish baseball in America. The book not only delves into the careers of iconic Jewish players like Hank Greenberg and Sandy Koufax, but also reveals the stories of other, lesser-known baseball contributors of the Jewish faith.
From Ausmus to Berg to Kinsler, Howard Megdal draws upon the lore and the little-known details of the many Jewish players who have had an impact on our National Pastime.
The program begins at 1 pm in the Bullpen Theater and virtually. There will be a book signing in the Library Atrium following the program.
Virtual participants may join us live on the Hall of Fame's Facebook page.
