Author Series: Luke Epplin

On Wednesday, August 10, author Luke Epplin will discuss his critically acclaimed book, Our Team: The Epic Story of Four Men and the World Series. Presented in riveting detail, Our Team traces the story of the integration of the Cleveland Indians and their quest for a World Series title through four key participants, including Larry Doby, the first Black player in the history of the American League.

Luke Epplin will also discuss the impact of other key players, Bob Feller and Satchel Paige, and the team’s groundbreaking owner, Bill Veeck.

The program begins at 1 pm in the Bullpen Theater and virtually. There will be a book signing in the Library Atrium following the program.
