A Celebration of Bobby Thomson and The Shot Heard Round the World
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates the 75th anniversary of one of the game's most memorable home runs: Bobby Thomson's historic blast that won the pennant for the New York Giants in 1951. The day's programs will include the following:
1:00 pm: Artifact Spotlight, Baseball Discovery Zone (featuring Russ Hodges' scorecard from the game and a telegram sent announcing the news of the pennant-winning home run)
2:00 pm: Voices of the Game with Bobby Thomson's Daughters, Megan Hann and Nancy Mitchell, Baseball Discovery Zone (a sitdown interview with members of Thomson's family)
These programs are free of charge to all those who have a purchased a ticket to the Museum that day.
