Film Screening and Q-and-A: My Father, Dick Allen (Episodes 1 and 2)
As part of a special screening, we will air the first two episodes of the new documentary series, My Father, Dick Allen, which offer a close-up look at the Allen family's perspective on the Hall of Famer slugger, his role as a father, and his struggles with racism and authority.
After the 1:00 pm airing of the two episodes in the Bullpen Theater, we will talk to Dick Allen's son -- Richard Allen, Jr. -- and the series director Andy Billman.
The film is free for Museum visitors. All are welcome to attend.
