50 years ago, Roberto Clemente hit his 3000th and final career regular season hit. Celebrate his legacy with a day of programming dedicated to his career and the anniversary.
11:00 am: The Plaques of the Gallery
Learn about the history of the Hall of Fame Gallery and the process by which each plaque is made and installed in this 20 minute guided tour. The tour starts by the Buck O'Neil Statue on the first floor.
1:00 pm-2:00 pm: Artifact Spotlight: Roberto Clemente and Hispanic Heritage Pop-Up
Hall of Fame staff share the stories of unseen artifacts from our collection of over 40,000 artifacts that are not currently on display. These artifacts will be on display in our Learning Center and will focus on Roberto Clemente's 3000th hit.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our interactive Hispanic Heritage Pop-Up experience will explore images and hands-on items from the Hall of Fame’s education and museum collections that tell the story of Latino baseball players.
2:00 pm: Voices of the Game: Bill Mikita
Join us for a special program with Bill Mikita, screenwriter and producer of Chasing 3000. Mikita will discuss the making of the movie, as well as the obstacles faced when creating a baseball film.
5:00 pm: Chasing 3000
Join us for a showing of the film, Chasing 3000, in our Grandstand Theater. This film tells the story of two brothers who are driving across the country to see Roberto Clemente's 3000th hit. It will be followed by a short Q&A with the screenwriter and producer Bill Mikita and producer Ryan Johnson.
