The Hall of Fame and Museum’s 87th Birthday Celebration

The Museum will celebrate its 87th birthday on June 12 with a variety of programs, including a presentation, “Remembering June 12, 1939,” a tour of our Plaque Gallery, and exploration time in our Baseball Discovery Zone. 

10:30 a.m. - Plaques of the Gallery Tour (Meets at the Buck O’Neil Statue)

Learn about the history of the Hall of Fame Gallery, which first opened in 1958, 19 years after the opening of the Museum. 

11:30 a.m. - Explore the Baseball Discovery Zone

This interactive room provides families with a setting to try on jerseys and sample artifacts from the Hall of Fame’s education collection. 

1 p.m. - 87th Birthday Card Signing (Baseball Discovery Zone)

Wish a Happy Birthday to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by signing a Hall of Fame Birthday Card, located in the Baseball Discovery Zone on the first floor.

2:30 pm - Plaques of the Gallery Tour (Meets at the Buck O’Neil Statue)
