Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is not only for celebration, remembrance, education and tribute, but above all a day of service.

Join us as we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day through guided tours and museum programs, and learn about Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson and others that emulate Dr. King's service and humanitarianism.

10:30 am: Plaque Gallery Tour (Buck O’Neil Statue, 1st Floor)

Learn about the history of the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery, with a special emphasis on the plaques of Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson, and Effa Manley. The tour meets at the Buck O'Neil Statue on the Museum’s first floor.

11:30 am: My Favorite Baseball Cards (Baseball Discovery Zone)

Come on by and learn about some favorite baseball cards from an avid collector.

12:00 pm: Open Hour in the Baseball Discovery Zone (Baseball Discovery Zone, 1st Floor)

This interactive room allows families to explore baseball history through hands-on items from the Hall of Fame’s education collection.

1:30 pm: MLK and Baseball (Baseball Discovery Zone, 1st Floor)

Learn about the connections between Martin Luther King and baseball, including the effect that his assassination had on Major League Baseball in 1968.

2:30 pm: Plaques of the Gallery Tour (Buck O’Neil Statue, 1st Floor)
