Native American Heritage Month Pop-Up
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, our interactive Native American Heritage Pop-Up experience will explore images and hands-on items from the Hall of Fame’s education and museum collections that tell the story of Native American baseball players including the following museum artifacts:
- Cap belonging to Charles Bender of the Philadelphia Athletics between 1915 and 1916
- Rookie outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury smacked four hits, including three doubles, with this bat to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 10-5 victory in Game 3 of the 2007 World Series on October 27th.
- New York Yankees cap worn by pitcher Joba Chamberlain during September of the 2008 season. This cap was specifically requested by HOF Museum curators as a representation of Native American players.
This program will take place in the Baseball Discovery Zone
