Remembering September 11th - 25 Years Later

1:00 pm: Artifact Spotlight - Baseball's Connection to September 11th  (Baseball Discovery Zone)
We will feature several artifacts from our Museum collection, including the home jersey and cap worn by New York Mets reliever John Franco. Franco and other Mets players, along with manager Bobby Valentine, aided in relief efforts at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. 

2:00 pm: Replay of Virtual Legends of the Game: Joe Torre Remembers September 11, 2001 (Hall of Fame Library's Bullpen Theater)
Join us in the Bullpen Theater for a replay of our Virtual Legends of the Game program filmed in September 2021. Hall of Famer Joe Torre, will offer his thoughts on the then 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks against America. Torre, a native of New York City who was born and raised in Brooklyn, was managing the New York Yankees at the time of the 2001 attacks.
