Virtual Author Series: Louis Moore
On Tuesday, June 27, we will feature a special nighttime edition of our Virtual Author Series with Louis Moore, who has written the critically-acclaimed book, We Will Win The Day: The Civil Rights Movement, the Black Athlete, and the Quest for Equality. The book examines the history of black activist athletes like Jackie Robinson and themes like the effects of Jim Crow segregation on ballplayers in the South.
The program will start at 7 pm Eastern Time. The program is free but registration via Zoom is required.
Louis Moore is an associate professor of history at Grand Valley State University, where he teaches African American history, civil rights, sports, and US history.
