Virtual Voices of the Game: Christie Wood
On March 21 at 1 pm Eastern Time, we celebrate Women’s History Month by talking to longtime major league scout Christie Wood on Virtual Voices of the Game.
Christie will discuss her long career in baseball, which began with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau in 2000. She became the first woman to hold an on-field scouting position with the Bureau.
Now involved in video scouting for MLB, Wood has assembled a video archive that includes footage of Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, and David Wright, among others, as high school players.
As always, Virtual Voices of the Game programs are free of charge, but registration is required.
