Virtual Voices of the Game: Leslie Heaphy

On March 22 at 1 pm Eastern Time, noted historian, author and professor Leslie Heaphy joins us for Virtual Voices of the Game. Leslie will discuss issues relating to women in baseball, Negro Leagues baseball, and the Hall of Fame’s Black Baseball Initiative.

Leslie is an Associate Professor of History at Kent State University and has written numerous book on the subjects of the Negro Leagues and women’s baseball.

In 2008, Leslie became the founding editor of the journal Black Ball, published by McFarland. In 2014, she was named winner of the Bob Davids Award, regarded as the highest honor presented by the Society for American Baseball Research.
