2026 Veterans Day Celebration
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates Hall of Famers’ service to their country in the iconic Plaque Gallery, where military medallions honor those Hall of Famers who served at wartime. A total of 70 Hall of Famers – nearly 20 percent of all enshrined in Cooperstown – served in the Armed Forces during the Civil War, World War I and II, and the Korean War. Join the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in honoring the men and women of the Armed Forces.
Our Veterans Day lineup includes the debut screening of the documentary, Trimble: Baseball’s Unknown Hero. The feature-length film by director Pat Kondelis tells the story of amateur star Jimmie Trimble, who enlisted in the Marines after signing a contract with the Washington Senators and was killed in action at Iwo Jima. The film will be screened at 1 p.m. in the Bullpen Theater and is available on a first-come basis to all those with a Museum ticket for that day.
