All-Stars Headed to Washington Already Have a Place in Cooperstown

35 of This Year’s All-Star Game Participants Are Represented by Artifacts at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – When the Major League Baseball All-Star Game debuted on July 6, 1933, in Chicago, the National Baseball Hall of Fame was not yet a part of the American lexicon.

Thirty-five of the 73 All-Stars named to date to the July 17 Mid-Summer Classic in Washington, D.C., are represented in Cooperstown by artifacts in the Hall of Fame’s collection.
