Baseball Writers’ Association of America Election Results Revealed Tuesday, Jan. 21

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – The results of the 81st Baseball Writers’ Association of America Hall of Fame election will be revealed at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Jan. 21, live from the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery in Cooperstown.

MLB Network will air extensive coverage, interviews and analysis beginning with Hot Stove at 9 a.m. ET, followed by on-site coverage from Cooperstown at 2 p.m. ET, including Hall of Fame President Josh Rawitch delivering the results live at 6 p.m. ET . The announcement will be simulcast on MLB.com and at facebook.com/baseballhall.

The 2025 BBWAA ballot features 28 players, including 14 new candidates and 14 returnees. Any candidate who receives votes on at least 75 percent of all ballots cast will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025.

The 28 candidates (with the returnees in bold and their 2024 BBWAA election percentage in parentheses) include: Bobby Abreu (14.8%)Carlos Beltrán (57.1%)Mark Buehrle (8.3%), Carlos González, Curtis Granderson, Félix Hernández, Torii Hunter (7.3%), Adam Jones, Andruw Jones (61.6%), Ian Kinsler, Russell Martin, Brian McCann, Dustin Pedroia, Andy Pettitte (13.5%), Hanley Ramírez, Manny Ramírez (32.5%), Fernando Rodney, Álex Rodríguez (34.8%)Francisco Rodríguez (7.8%)Jimmy Rollins (14.8%), CC Sabathia, Ichiro Suzuki, Troy Tulowitzki, Chase Utley (28.8%)Omar Vizquel (17.7%), Billy Wagner (73.8%)David Wright (6.2%) and Ben Zobrist.

Dick Allen and Dave Parker were elected by the Classic Baseball Era Committee in December and will join any BBWAA electees at Induction Weekend, July 25-28 in Cooperstown.
