Hall of Fame Celebrates Los Angeles’ Historic World Series Victory with Dodgers Weekend July 18-19
(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Dodgers fans, prepare for a Hollywood ending in Cooperstown.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2024 World Series title July 18-19 at the home of baseball. The weekend will be highlighted by a visit by the 2024 World Series trophy during Dodgers Weekend, with the symbol of the Dodgers’ title on display at the Museum July 18-19. Visitors will have the chance to relive the 2024 season and create new memories in Cooperstown, where artifacts from the Dodgers’ world title will be preserved forever.
The trophy will be on exhibit at the Museum from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 18 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. Visitors will be permitted to take pictures with the trophy. A 2024 Dodgers World Series ring will also be on display as part of the Museum’s Autumn Glory exhibit.
The Museum will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. both days. Throughout the weekend, visitors can learn about the history of the Dodgers through guided exhibit tours, artifact spotlights, trivia contests, themed craft stations and other special opportunities.
The Museum’s exhibit honoring the 2024 World Series champion Dodgers, which is part of the permanent Autumn Glory exhibit, features artifacts, photographs and ephemera detailing the Dodgers’ seventh World Series title since moving to Los Angeles.
Artifacts in the exhibit include:
- Spikes worn by World Series MVP Freddie Freeman in Games 1 and 2
- Jersey worn by Shohei Ohtani during Game 3
- Cap worn by manager Dave Roberts
- Glove worn by Walker Buehler, who posted a win in Game 3 and saved Game 5
- Chest protector and cap worn by catcher Will Smith, who caught the final strikeout of the decisive Game 5
- Jersey worn by pitcher Anthony Banda, who made scoreless relief appearances in each of the Dodgers’ four World Series wins
- A ball used during the ninth inning of Game 5
- Batting helmet worn by NLCS Most Valuable Player Tommy Edman
- Batting gloves worn by Mookie Betts, who hit .290 with 16 RBI in the postseason
- Bat and batting gloves worn by Max Muncy, who set a record by reaching base in 12 straight postseason plate appearances
Entrance to the Autumn Glory exhibit is included with Museum admission. Autumn Glory will feature the 2024 Dodgers artifacts through the end of the 2025 World Series, when artifacts from the most recent Fall Classic will be put on exhibit.
