Hall of Fame to Host Holiday Celebration Dec. 7

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – The spirit of Cooperstown will be on full display on Dec. 7 when Museum visitors and the National Baseball Hall of Fame team up for a day of holiday fun.

The Hall of Fame will host its Holiday Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7, with family-friendly activities throughout the day in the Museum. Beginning at 1 p.m., all visitors will be given access to the Museum free of charge in exchange for a donation of five non-perishable healthy food items or an unwrapped toy.

All donations support Opportunities for Otsego and the Cooperstown Food Bank.

Events in the Museum on Saturday include:

Throughout the Day – Cooperstown Elementary School Design a Toy Project (Library Atrium, 1st Floor)
Toy prototypes designed and built by Cooperstown Elementary School students will be on display as part of the Design a Toy project, in conjunction with the school’s Family STEAM initiative.

1 p.m. – Holiday Craft Area (Learning Center, 1st Floor)
Visit our holiday craft area in the Learning Center and make your own baseball-themed Christmas tree. Deck your tree out to celebrate your favorite team.

2 p.m. – Holiday Performance: Pathfinder Village Bell Choir (Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery, 1st Floor)

Join us in the Hall of Fame Gallery for a holiday tradition at the National Baseball Hall of Fame: A special performance by the Pathfinder Village Bell Choir. Pathfinder Village is a community in Edmeston, N.Y., dedicated to serving individuals with Down syndrome. Following the performance, enjoy light refreshments and meet members of the Pathfinder Village Bell Choir.
