Kim Ng appointed to Board of Directors for National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Kim Ng has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, bringing the total number of directors to 17 for the nonprofit educational institution.

“We are so happy to welcome Kim Ng to the Museum’s Board of Directors,” said Jane Forbes Clark, Chairman of the Board of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. “She has brought knowledge and passion to the game throughout three decades as one of baseball’s most respected executives. As a trailblazing team officer and general manager, Kim’s vision has brought new perspective and ideas to the National Pastime, qualities that will serve the Hall of Fame well as we continue to enhance our mission.”

Born Nov. 17, 1968, Ng grew up playing softball and went on to play for the University of Chicago. After earning her degree, Ng joined the White Sox as an intern in 1990, working her way up through the team’s baseball operations department. In 1998, Ng was named the assistant general manager of the Yankees, helping the team continue its late-1990s dynasty.

In 2002, Ng joined the Dodgers, where she spent nine years as vice president and assistant general manager. She then joined the MLB front office for a nine-year stint before she was hired as the Marlins general manager on Nov. 13, 2020.

“It is an honor to join the Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the institution that preserves and celebrates baseball,” Ng said. “The Hall of Fame’s mission is something that is close to my heart, and I feel privileged to be able to give something back to the game that has given me so much.”
