Larry Walker’s Hall of Fame Plaque Visits Coors Field September 25

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Larry Walker made history as the first Colorado Rockies player to earn a spot in Cooperstown.

On Sept. 25, Rockies fans will get to see another historic moment as Walker’s Hall of Fame plaque visits Coors Field.

Walker saw his bronze Hall of Fame likeness for the first time when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sept. 8 in Cooperstown as part of the Class of 2020 along with Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller and Ted Simmons. The plaque was immediately installed in the Hall of Fame’s Plaque Gallery but will temporarily come off exhibit to travel to Denver for the Sept. 25 event.

Fans at Coors Field will have the opportunity to take photos with the plaque following a pregame ceremony where the plaque will be present as Walker has his number 33 retired by the Rockies.

The schedule for the travel of the Larry Walker plaque includes:

- Removed from display in Cooperstown: Beginning Friday, Sept. 24
- Special event: At Coors Field in Denver, Sept. 25
- Returning to display: Monday, Sept. 27

Fans planning visits to Cooperstown during these times should be advised that Walker’s plaque will be removed from display during the times listed above. A photographic image of each plaque will be featured in the space, featuring a full replication of the plaque. The schedule is subject to change.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Memorial Day Weekend, when summer hours are scheduled to resume.
