Museum’s Autumn Glory Exhibit Receives Refresh Heading into Postseason Play

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – As the 2026 Major League Baseball Postseason gets underway, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum brings the stories of the game’s most memorable moments to life in an exciting new fashion.

The Autumn Glory exhibit, located on the Museum’s third floor, has been refreshed with new artifacts, documents and photos that tell the story of the modern World Series – starting in 1903 – as well as pre-World Series era champions, Championship and Division Series moments and title-series history from additional leagues.

Artifacts now on display in Autumn Glory at the Museum include:

• The last-out ball from the 1986 World Series, signed by Gary Carter and Jesse Orosco of the World Champion Mets (on loan to the Museum)
• Trophy presented to the Homestead Grays, the 1940 champions of the Negro National League (on loan to the Museum)
• One half of the jersey literally torn off Cardinals third baseman David Freese after he clouted his walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series
• Shoes worn by Freddie Freeman in Game 1 of the 2024 World Series when the Dodgers’ first baseman hit the Fall Classic’s first walk-off grand slam
• The last-out ball from the 2004 World Series when the Red Sox won their first title in 86 years
• A ball thrown by Yankees pitcher Don Larsen during his perfect game in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series
• A jersey worn during the final game of the 2017 Little League World Series by catcher Seiya Arai of the championship-winning team from Japan
• A ball thrown by Boston pitcher Bill Dinneen for the last out of the first modern World Series in 1903

The Autumn Glory exhibit will be updated again following the completion of the World Series with artifacts from the 2026 Postseason. Admission to the Museum’s Autumn Glory is included with regular Museum admission.
