Hall of Fame, Tri-City ValleyCats announce ticket promotion

The history of the National Pastime resides just down the road from the Capital Region in Cooperstown. And on Thursday, some future stars will make their way from the Hall of Fame to Bruno Stadium for a chance to celebrate baseball’s summer season in Upstate New York.

The 10th edition of Hall of Fame Night with the Tri-City ValleyCats will be held Thursday, June 28 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy. The 2018 class of Frank and Peggy Steele Interns from the Baseball Hall of Fame will be on hand as the ValleyCats unveil a special ticketing offer, with all fans presenting a National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum ticket receiving a buy one, get one deal on ValleyCats tickets.

As part of a reciprocal buy one, get one promotion, fans presenting their Hall of Fame ticket at the ValleyCats box office, or entering the promo code “HOF” when purchasing tickets online, will receive buy one, get one admission for any section at any game from now through the end of the ValleyCats’ 2018 regular season schedule, pending availability. The ValleyCats host the Hudson Valley Renegades at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The Baseball Hall of Fame’s Membership team will also be at “The Joe” to provide information about the Hall of Fame’s Membership program. Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the annual All-Star Gala and World Series Gala. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the annual Hall of Fame Yearbook and a 10-percent discount and free shipping on retail purchases.

The Hall of Fame will offer the same buy one, get one admission offer to fans presenting a 2018 ValleyCats ticket through the end of the calendar year.

Later this summer, the ValleyCats’ parent club, the Houston Astros, will bring the 2017 World Series trophy to Cooperstown for Astros Weekend, Aug. 4-5. Museum visitors will have the chance to relive the 2017 season and create new memories in Cooperstown, where artifacts of the Astros’ World Series title will be preserved forever and are currently on display in the Museum’s Autumn Glory exhibit. The trophy will be on exhibit at the Museum from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, and ValleyCats staff members are slated to participate in Astros-themed programming at the Museum that weekend.
