Rod Carew: 3,000th Hit Batting Gloves

Angels first baseman Rod Carew, whose keen eye and great speed yielded seven batting titles and 18 All-Star nods, wore these batting gloves on August 4, 1985, when he smacked his 3,000th career hit. The opposite field single came against the Minnesota Twins, with whom Carew had played the first 12 years of his career.

Mike Trout: Rookie Season Cap

Despite starting 2012 in the minors, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout ended the season atop the majors with 129 runs and 49 stolen bases. Wearing this cap that year, he electrified fans with his stellar defense and earned unanimous AL Rookie of the Year accolades for his amazing season.

Reggie Jackson: 500th Home Run Helmet

Angels DH Reggie Jackson wore this helmet on September 17, 1984, when he smashed his 500th career home run, a solo shot to Anaheim’s right field. The round-tripper came exactly 17 years after his first homer, a solo dinger to the same spot when Kansas City visited the Big A in 1967.

Francisco Rodríguez: Record Saves Jersey

Angels closer Francisco Rodríguez wore this jersey on September 13, 2008, during his season for the ages. On that day, K-Rod broke the 18-year-old record of 57 saves in a season and went on to set a still-standing mark of 62.

Nolan Ryan: No-Hitter Cap

Angels ace Nolan Ryan wore this cap for the second of his two 1973 no-hitters, a dominating, 17-strikeout defeat of Detroit, 6-0, on July 15. When Tigers slugger Norm Cash came to the plate in the ninth inning with a table leg in hand, he explained to the umpire, “I can’t hit him with a regular bat.”

Adam Kennedy: Three Home Run Bat

The 2002 Angels, who found new heroes throughout the season, continued that tradition in the postseason. In Game 5 of the ALCS, light-hitting Adam Kennedy swung this lumber to launch three consecutive home runs, defeat the Minnesota Twins, 13-5, and lift the Angels to the franchise’s first World Series appearance.

Angels Rally Monkey

The Rally Monkey debuted on June 6, 2000, in an interleague game against the San Francisco Giants, then jumped onto the national stage during the 2002 season. The monkey's most notable impact came in Game 6 of the World Series, when the spirited primate and a late six-run rally lifted the Angels to a come-from-behind victory and an eventual World Championship.

Albert Pujols: 600th Double Cleats

Wearing these cleats on September 16, 2016, Angels DH Albert Pujols reached rarified air as he posted his 600th career double. Only Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds had also reached 600 doubles and 575 home runs. A year later he joined the historic duo in the exclusive 600-600 club.

Shohei Ohtani: Rookie Cap and Helmet

Making his much-anticipated debut in 2018, L.A.’s Shohei Ohtani became the majors’ first successful two-way player in generations. In his April 1 pitching debut, Ohtani wore this cap as he hurled six innings and struck out six in the Angels’ 7-4 victory over Oakland. He donned this helmet two days later when he crushed his first homer.
