For centuries, baseball has been a source of solace during some of the world’s most trying times. And now, the National Pastime is with us to help once again.
After a pause of more than three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A comprehensive health and safety plan for the Museum has been developed in accordance with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and New York State, and reviewed by a certified Industrial Hygiene Technician, to ensure cleanliness, physical distancing and reduced contact for visitors and staff.
But with travel restrictions still in place for many areas, the Museum remains committed through its Safe at Home initiative to delivering educational and entertaining content throughout the world. This engaging virtual content allows fans of all ages to learn the game’s history, explore its connection to global culture and experience the magic of the Museum from afar.
The Safe at Home web resources and virtual events have been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor.
