The Class of 2025 will be inducted Sunday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m., on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown.
INDUCTION CEREMONY INFORMATION
WHEN IS THE INDUCTION CEREMONY HELD?
The Class of 2025 will be inducted Sunday, July 27 on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown. The Ceremony will begin at 1:30. Those attending are advised to arrival early.
WHERE IS THE INDUCTION CEREMONY HELD?
The Sunday, July 27, Induction Ceremony will take place on the grounds outside of the Clark Sports Center, which is located on lower Susquehanna Avenue, just one mile south of the Hall of Fame.
DO I NEED A TICKET TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY?
Lawn seating for the event is unlimited and free of charge. A blanket or lawn chair is recommended for comfortable viewing.
Reserved seating is available for Contributor, President’s Circle and Benefactor Level Museum Members.
HOW LONG IS THE CEREMONY?
The Induction Ceremony historically lasts two-to-three hours.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Three trolley lots, located just outside the village limits and color-coded in red, blue and yellow, are available for those visitors in the immediate Cooperstown village area. Parking in these lots is free, and a trolley ticket good for unlimited daily transportation costs $5, payable by cash only on the trolley. The trolley service will operate from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking spots in these lots are limited. Trolleys will run only from the lots to regular stops in the village. Only the Blue Lot Trolley will run to and from the Induction site. The Hall of Fame will provide free shuttle buses from the corner of Main and Fair streets to the Induction site, with continuous service from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then resuming at the conclusion of the Induction Ceremony. Shuttles will not run during the Induction Ceremony.
Two special paid parking lots will be available only on Sunday, July 27. These lots are located adjacent to the Blue Trolley Lot at 172 Linden Avenue (paid lot is Cy Young Lot) and on Route 33 just east of the Induction Site (paid lot is the Hank Aaron Lot). Trolley service extends to the Cy Young Lot but neither Trolley nor bus service extends to the Hank Aaron Lot.
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
As the weather in Cooperstown can be warm in July, it is recommended that visitors bring a cap and sunscreen.
The Ceremony is held rain or shine, unless severe weather forces the cancellation of the event.
CAN I PURCHASE HALL OF FAME MERCHANDISE AT THE INDUCTION?
Merchandise, including the 2025 Induction Program, apparel and collectibles are available for purchase at the Induction site.
You can also shop at the Museum's online store.
ARE FOOD AND BEVERAGES AVAILABLE AT THE INDUCTION SITE?
Refreshments are sold at the site.
CAN I BRING A BACKPACK OR OTHER BAG TO THE CEREMONY?
Clear bags are recommended. All bags are subject to search.
ARE THERE INTERPRETERS FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED?
Professional interpreters will be provided for the hearing impaired.
ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED AT THE INDUCTION CEREMONY?
Service dogs are welcome at the Induction Ceremony. All service dogs must remain on a leash or harness at all times.
ARE PETS ALLOWED AT THE INDUCTION CEREMONY?
Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted at the Induction Ceremony.
CAN I FLY A DRONE AT THE CEREMONY?
Drone flights are prohibited.
IS THE MUSEUM OPEN?
The Museum maintains the following Hall of Fame Weekend hours: Friday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Monday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Advance tickets are not necessary but are recommended. For Hall of Fame Members, doors open at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. As always, Hall of Fame Members receive free admission.
ARE THERE SHUTTLES TO THE INDUCTION SITE?
The Hall of Fame will provide free shuttle buses from the corner of Main and Fair streets to the Induction site on Sunday, July 27, with continuous service from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then resuming at the conclusion of the Induction Ceremony. Shuttles will not run during the Induction Ceremony.
IS ACCESSIBLE PARKING AND SEATING AVAILABLE FOR THE INDUCTION CEREMONY?
Accessible seating is available for the 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. To enquire about accessible seating please contact the Membership Department at (607) 547-0397.
ADA accessible parking will be available on Saturday, July 26, on Fair Street (Main Street to Lake Street), Main Street (Fair Street to River Street) and on Church Street.
Accessible parking is available on Sunday, July 27, for the Induction Ceremony. Accessible parking is located at the Cooperstown High School, 39 Linden Ave, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
No special parking pass is required to utilize the accessible parking lot. Any State-issued ADA Pass will be allowed. Shuttles will transport from this location to the Induction site beginning at 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. No shuttles will run during the ceremony. At the conclusion of the ceremony shuttle swill resume operation until all are returned to Cooperstown High School. Please be patient with this process as traffic may be a factor in shuttles returning to the lot in a timely manner.
