Ozzie Smith will return to Cooperstown with his Hall of Fame friends to host Turn Two with Ozzie. This unique event on Friday, July 25, will support the Museum’s Education Program.

Smith, the Education Ambassador for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, will host the annual Museum fundraiser and welcome fellow Hall of Famers (TBD) as his guests during a fun-filled morning that gives fans a unique chance to experience on-field moments and stories with the legends.

Yes, advance registration is required, space is limited for this event. 

Turn Two with Ozzie helps support the Hall of Fame's educational mission and the Ozzie Smith Diversity Scholarships for the Frank and Peggy Steele Internship for Youth Leadership Development.

Yes, each participate can bring one guest for the morning reception. Additionally, the guest can join the participant in the group photo as well. 

However, the guest will not be allowed on Doubleday Field for the on-field portion of the event. Viewing will be allowed from the seating area at the ballpark. 

Turn Two with Ozzie is held in the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery and at Doubleday Field. 

Three trolley lots, located just outside the village limits and color-coded in red, blue and yellow, are available for those visitors in the immediate Cooperstown village area. Parking in these lots is free, and a trolley ticket good for unlimited daily transportation costs $5, payable by cash only on the trolley. The trolley service will operate from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily all weekend.

No additional autographs are allowed before, during or after the event – this will be strictly enforced. This includes bats, baseballs, cards, uniforms or souvenir photographs. Please do not request any exceptions to this policy. Thank you for your cooperation.

The autograph session is for participants only. The commemorative gift provided by the Hall of Fame is the only item that will be signed by the Hall of Famers.

 

You may bring your personal still or video camera for the event, including the segment on the field. However, please refrain from requesting posed photographs or taking images that interfere with other participants’ enjoyment of the program.

Participant guests are not permitted on the field, but are welcome to take candid photographs from the guest section within the Doubleday Field grandstand.

At the conclusion of the Plaque Gallery segment of the event, transportation will be provided for participants and their guests to Doubleday Field for the on-field activities.

Transportation back to the Museum will also be provided. Participants and guests will be dropped off at the Library Atrium entrance where they can pick-up any item(s) being held and access the Museum

In case of inclement weather, the on-field segment will be replaced with a private program at the Museum.

Throughout the weekend, the Hall of Fame will host educational programs and fan-friendly experiences designed to connect generations of all ages in activities and events featuring baseball luminaries in the timeless and pastoral village of Cooperstown.
