Hall of Fame Plaques of Roy Halladay, Joe Morgan, Satchel Paige to Visit Ballparks in August

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Some of baseball’s biggest names will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2020 on Sept. 8. But even as today’s game sets its sights on Cooperstown, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will bring history to ballparks around the country via historic Hall of Fame plaques.

Before the Class of 2020 takes its place in the Museum, plaques of Hall of Famers Roy Halladay, Joe Morgan and Satchel Paige will be temporarily removed to travel to events celebrating the legacy of the Hall of Fame heroes. Fans planning visits to Cooperstown during these times should be advised that the actual bronze plaques will be removed from display during the times listed below. A photographic image of each plaque will be featured in the space, featuring a full replication of the plaque, while the actual plaques are traveling.

The schedule for plaques traveling in the coming weeks includes:

Roy Halladay plaque:
- Removed from display: Beginning Friday, Aug. 6
- Special event: At Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Aug. 8
- Returning to display: Monday, Aug. 9

Joe Morgan plaque:

The Induction Ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. that day on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center, one mile south of the Hall of Fame on Susquehanna Avenue. Admission to the Induction Ceremony is free.
