This experience will provide a unique opportunity to see baseball history up close and personal. You'll hear the stories behind each item and will walk away from your visit with great photos and special memories!
Each item – the bats, baseballs, gloves, spikes and uniforms – tells an important story about the game’s history. But our collection is also broad and deep, documenting both the game on the field and its impact on American culture. It may be art, books, baseball cards or photographs that bring your memories of the game to life. All of these, and so much more, are preserved within the Museum Archives and Collections.
The Showcase will give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our Archives and Collections. The curated set of items for this experience will explore a wide range of eras and themes. You can expect to see items from the games legendary players – including names like Lou Gehrig, Roberto Clemente and Jackie Robinson.

The Private Collections Showcase is $375 and includes museum admission for up to four people. You may book online (at least 72 hours in advance) or by calling 607.547.0347 today. We can accomodate up to six people for an additional fee.

This special experience is only available June 1 to August 31*, Monday - Saturday, at select times throughout the day (10 a.m., 12 p.m. or 2 p.m.).

Does my experience include a Museum Membership?
The Private Collections Showcase includes a Supporter Membership ($125 value), which includes complimentary admission to the Museum for up to four people for one year.
Do I need to buy a Museum admission ticket?
No, your Museum Membership includes complimentary admission for up to four people for one year.
How many people can particpate in the Private Collections Showcase?
The price of the package includes up to four individuals, however groups of up to six can be accommodated for an additional fee of $50 per person.
Can I take pictures with the artifacts during the experience?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to take photos. They are sure to make your friends and family on social media jealous.
What players are featured?
You can expect to see items from the games legendary players – including names like Lou Gehrig, Roberto Clemente and Jackie Robinson.
How long is the experience?
Approximately one hour.
What if I book the experience and my plans change?
We will be happy to reschedule your experience for a date that works or issue a refund if you prefer, with at least 24 hours notice.
Can I purchase the experience on the day of my visit?
Yes, pending availability.
When can I book my experience online?
You can book your experience online as little as 72 hours in advance for any date through August 31. If you want to book an experience with less than 72 notice please call us at 607.547.0347.
* Experience is not available on Sunday or during Hall of Fame Weekend (July 21-24).
