LivÁn HernÁndez: World Series MVP Jersey
Just two years after defecting from Cuba, rookie sensation Liván Hernández wore this Marlins jersey in Game 1 of the 1997 World Series, earning the victory over the Cleveland Indians. Eight days later, Florida secured its first World Championship title and the 22-year-old earned Series MVP honors.

Tim Raines: Flapless Helmet
When 23-year big league veteran Tim Raines retired following his 2002 season, he also retired this Marlins batting helmet, the last flapless model in the big leagues. Earflaps were made mandatory in 1983, but a grandfather clause exempted those whose careers began before the rule was adopted.

Kevin Brown: Near-Perfect Game Cap
Marlins pitcher Kevin Brown wore this cap on June 10, 1997, when he tossed a 9-0 no-hitter against the Giants in San Francisco. Brown was nearly perfect that day, as the only Giants baserunner, Marvin Benard, was hit by a pitch with two outs in the eighth inning.

Eddy Alvarez: Big League Debut Shoes
Six years after winning a silver medal for Team USA in the 5,000-meter speed skating relay, Eddy Alvarez exchanged his skates for these shoes when he made his major league debut with the Marlins on August 5, 2020. At 30 years of age, Alvarez became the first Winter Olympics medalist to play big league baseball.

Craig Counsell: World Series-Winning Shoes
With the score knotted at 2-2 in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series, the Marlins loaded the bases against Cleveland in the bottom of the 11th inning. When Edgar Rentería lined a single up the middle, Craig Counsell broke from third, touched home plate with these shoes and gave Florida its first World Series crown.

2003 World Series Championship Ring
Commemorating their second World Series title in 2003, the Florida Marlins created championship rings made of 14-carat white and yellow gold and featuring 228 diamond chips, 13 rubies and a rare teal diamond as the eye of the Marlin.

Don Mattingly: Miami Marlins cap
Piloting Miami to an 8-7 win over Baltimore on August 6, 2020, Don Mattingly wore this cap when he earned his 282nd victory with the team, passing Jack McKeon for most wins as a Marlins manager.

Sandy Alcántara: Complete Game Shoes
Toeing the pitching rubber with these shoes on September 30, 2022, Sandy Alcántara threw 100 pitches in a complete game for his final start of the season. The Miami hurler led the big leagues with six complete games and won the 2022 Cy Young Award for his 2.28 ERA, 207 strikeouts and 14 wins.

Giancarlo Stanton: Helmet with Face Guard
On Sept. 11, 2014, Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was struck in the face by a pitch, breaking his jaw. Over the next few seasons, he wore special batting helmets with protective face masks featuring the letter “G” for “Giancarlo.” Stanton wore this helmet in 2016, one year before he blasted 59 homers and won the NL MVP Award.
