April Adventures Week-Tuesday

Seventy eight years ago this year, Jackie Robinson made history for the Brooklyn Dodgers – helping fulfill baseball’s destiny as America’s National Pastime. On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first player to break through the color barrier in the National League.

To honor the legacy of Jackie Robinson, the museum will host special daily programming. Museum guests can experience unique Museum artifacts, learn about the history of Black Baseball and participate in programming throughout the two weeks surrounding the 78th Anniversary. Learn more about History of Baseball and Civil Rights in America
