Tickets for Hall of Fame Classic on Sale Now

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – After a two-year absence, a Cooperstown tradition is set to return for a memorable Memorial Day Weekend at Doubleday Field.

Tickets for the 2022 Hall of Fame Classic, scheduled for Saturday, May 28, are on sale now to the general public online and via phone. Hall of Fame members Wade Boggs, Fergie Jenkins, Jack Morris, Tim Raines and Ted Simmons will be joined by at least one additional Hall of Famer as well as recently retired players representing all 30 major league teams for a seven-inning legends game at Cooperstown’s historic Doubleday Field.

The 2022 Hall of Fame Classic, presented by Boeing, highlights a weekend of family entertainment programs designed to celebrate the timeless connection of baseball across generations.

Tickets are available via phone at 1-888-325-0470 or by clicking here. Tickets for the Hall of Fame Classic are $15 for grandstand seats, $12.50 for first baseline seats and $11 for outfield seats.

Seating along the third baseline will not be available, as the Village of Cooperstown is coordinating ongoing renovations of Doubleday Field.

The Classic, now in its 12th year and fueled by assistance from MLB, features a pre-game Home Run Contest at noon, followed by the first pitch at 1:05 p.m.

Players committed to appear at the Hall of Fame Classic include: Bobby Abreu (Phillies), Alex Arias (Marlins), Alex Avila (Tigers), Carlos Baerga (Guardians), Michael Bourn (Astros), Pat Borders (Blue Jays), José Contreras (White Sox), Keith Foulke (Red Sox), David Freese (Cardinals), Carlos Gómez (Brewers), Carlos González (Rockies), Terrence Long (Athletics), Glen Perkins (Twins), Ryan Rowland-Smith (Mariners), Steve Sax (Dodgers), Nick Swisher (Yankees), Chris Young (Diamondbacks) and Todd Zeile (Mets).

The full rosters of participating Hall of Famers and Classic players will be announced later this spring. The most up-to-date information about the Hall of Fame Classic will be available at baseballhall.org/hofclassic.

Hall of Fame Classic Weekend features additional family events designed to promote interactivity between fans and their baseball heroes. Following the game on Saturday will be the Doubleday Kids Dash, a chance for children to round third and head for home on the base paths of historic Doubleday Field. Space in the Doubleday Kids Dash, which is a free event, is limited. There is no pre-registration for this event.

Later that evening, the Hall of Fame will host its Night at the Ballpark program. Hall of Fame legends and former players will greet fans throughout Doubleday Field on Saturday evening beginning at 6 p.m. Hall of Fame Classic participants will canvass the ballpark during the course of a two-hour event, which has a 12-ticket limit per order and has a capacity limit of 500. While the Night at the Ballpark program is not an autograph session, fans should remember to bring their camera to capture their special memories. Tickets for Night at the Ballpark are on sale now. The Museum will also offer the Cooperstown Classic Clinic, a baseball training event for youngsters ages 7-12 on Friday, May 27, from 4-7 p.m. The Clinic gives youth participants a chance to receive hands-on tips and advice from several former major leaguers at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. The event is free but pre-order is required for this special opportunity by clicking here.

All tickets purchased online or via phone will be shipped starting Friday, April 26. Tickets purchased online or via phone prior to May 17 will be sent via U.S. Mail.

Tickets purchased May 21 through May 26 must be picked up at the Doubleday Field Will Call tent beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 28. Online ticketing ends at 5 p.m. ET on May 26.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s Ticket Booth on Friday, May 27, and again at the Doubleday Field Will Call tent beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 28.
