Tee off with the game's legends over Memorial Day Weekend in Cooperstown 

Celebrate the National Pastime as the Museum presents the Hall of  Fame Memorial Day Weekend Golf Tournament. Hall of Fame legends will join with former MLB players to provide the experience of a lifetime for participating golfers at picturesque Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown on Sunday, May 25.

Individuals, pairs or foursomes of all skill levels are welcome to join the Hall of Fame Memorial Day Weekend Golf Tournament. A Hall of Fame member or a former MLB player will join each foursome and serve as the team captain. A fundraiser for the Museum, this scramble-format tournament will be played on the same course Hall of Famers play during Induction Weekend.

Each golfer also receives:

  • Hall of Fame goodie bag
  • Exclusive Hall of Fame Memorial Day Weekend Golf Tournament shirt and hat

  • President's Circle level Museum Membership
  • Priority access to the Hall of Fame Film Series events taking place that weekend

The cost is $3,000 per golfer. The tournament supports the Museum’s mission to preserve history, honor excellence and connect generations.

TENATIVE SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY, MAY 23

6:00 p.m.: The festivities begin with an exclusive cocktail reception in the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery and a chance to preview the new Getting the Nod exhibit, which opens to the public the next morning. Location: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum 

SATURDAY, MAY 24

9:00 a.m.: Autograph session with the particpating Hall of Famers. Location: Otesaga Resort Hotel

3:00 p.m.: An exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Museum’s collections. Location: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum  

5:00 p.m.: Priority access to Night at the Museum when Hall of Fame legends and former players will greet fans. Location: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum  

SUNDAY, MAY 25

 7:00 a.m.: The Hall of Fame Memorial Day Weekend Golf Torunament. A private breakfast precedes the tournament start and an awards luncheon concludes the event. Location: Leatherstocking Golf Course

The festivities begin Friday night, with an exclusive cocktail reception in the Hall of Fame Gallery, including a chance to preview the new Getting the Nod exhibit, which opens to the public the next morning.  Saturday morning, participants will participate in an autograph session with the Hall of Famers. Golfers will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum’s collections. Saturday evening includes access to Night at the Museum when Hall of Fame legends and former players will greet fans throughout Doubleday Field.  On Sunday morning, a private breakfast precedes the tournament. An awards luncheon concludes the event.

The tournament will be played at the Otesaga Hotel’s Leatherstocking Golf Course.  Overlooking picturesque Otsego Lake, the course is considered one of the East’s most scenic and historic par-72 layouts. Designed by the legendary Devereux Emmet in 1909, Leatherstocking has been rated “four stars” by Golf Digest’s “Places to Play.”

The tournament is a scramble-format. Each team will be made up of four particpants plus a Team Captain (a Hall of Famer or former MLB player) for a total of five per team. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome. 

Yes particpants may bring a guest to the Friday welcome recpetion, the behind-the-scenes experience and Night at the Museum
