Consider letting kids make some of the decisions. Children may appreciate the experience and remember more of what they see if they participate in leading the discovery.

Talk with each other about not touching items on exhibit. Oil and dirt from our hands damages them.

Check out the museum programming that will be available on the day of your visit.

Will your kids get fidgety and need to run? Bring a ball and some gloves, pack a picnic, and enjoy historic Cooper Park and our sculpture garden, right outside of the Museum. Beautiful Lakefront Park is just two blocks from the Museum.For kids who want to test their skill, batting cages are available in Cooperstown near Doubleday Field.

Pick up a Museum Guide and other information for your visit. Our Discovery Tour is designed to guide kids through the entire Museum during their visit.

Direct kids to interactive exhibits designed for them to play and learn.

Restrooms and drinking fountains are on every floor.

Diaper changing tables are located on every floor of the Museum.

Wheelchairs are available free of charge.

Healthy and child-friendly food and beverages are available within just a few blocks of the Museum. Food and beverages are not allowed in the Museum.
