Celebrate Hall of Fame Weekend Journey Through Inductee Memories at Legends Roundtable Event
Class of 2015 Inductees Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martínez and John Smoltz to Share Memories on Monday, July 27 at Doubleday Field
(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – In a little more than three weeks, the historic Class of 2015 will officially be inducted at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
And only hours after Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martínez and John Smoltz take their place in Cooperstown, the members of the largest class of BBWAA electees in 60 years will reflect on the crowning achievement of their careers.
Biggio, Johnson, Martínez and Smoltz – all elected by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America in January – will relive memories of their baseball careers as well as recap the Induction Weekend during the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s Legends of the Game Roundtable at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 27 – the day after the Induction Ceremony.
The event will be held – rain or shine unless severe weather forces the cancellation of the event – on the infield at historic Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, N.Y. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, and participants in the Museum’s Membership Program can reserve tickets now by calling 607-547-0397.
Museum Members receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the 2015 Hall of Fame Yearbook and a 10 percent discount and free shipping on retail purchases. For information on becoming a member, please visit www.baseballhall.org/join or call 607-547-0397.
The annual Legends Roundtable event is just part of an action-packed Hall of Fame Weekend at the Baseball Hall of Fame – highlighted by the inductions of the Class of 2015 at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. Admission to the Induction Ceremony is free. A complete list of Hall of Fame Weekend activities is available at www.baseballhall.org/visit/hall-of-fame-weekend.
The 2015 Induction Ceremony will feature more than 50 Hall of Fame members in attendance, and will include the speeches of Biggio, Johnson, Martínez and Smoltz. The Ceremony will be televised live on MLB Network, broadcast nationally on Sirius XM MLB Network Radio Channel 89 and will be available via a Webcast at www.baseballhall.org.
The Museum maintains the following Hall of Fame Weekend hours: Friday, July 24: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturday, July 25: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, July 26: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Monday, July 27: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Advance tickets are not necessary but are available at www.baseballhall.org/visit#admission.
